About Poormina
An MBA qualified administrator with more than a decade spent within the UK’s rail industry, Poormina joined Pro Rail Services in 2019, first working within our accounts department before rising to the position of Compliance and Training Manager in 2021.
Poormina’s first foray into the rail sector in 2011 saw her take on the role of Rail Systems Manager at the UK’s largest privately owned drainage and facilities group, Lanes, where, on a day to day basis, she managed and set the direction of a team of railway drainage specialists, ensuring compliance with project requirements as well as all relevant standards and legislation.
Reporting to and liaising with the company’s senior leadership team, her current position sees her monitoring and maintaining a variety of records and registers, ensuring that all personnel are both qualified and competent, whilst supporting the safety of our team, the public and all other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining the company’s competency management system
- Acting as the company’s Sentinel coordinator
- Organising staff training on a role by role basis
- Maintaining accurate data and reporting on it as necessary
- Taking responsibility for the management and monitoring of fatigue levels
- Organising and monitoring medicals and D&A testing
- Organising the issue and management of PPE
- Supporting the HSQE director during both internal and external audits
