About Amanda
A time served HSQE professional with more than 20 years of construction, civils, and rail experience, Amanda joined Pro Rail Services in 2018 as the firm’s HSQE Director, taking overall responsibility for all health, safety, quality and environmental matters within the business.
Starting her career in 2004 as a safety advisor within a construction H&S consultancy, three years later she joined multi-national infrastructure and property giant, Lendlease, as a CDM Coordinator. Having spent 5 years supporting the delivery of such high profile schemes as the London Olympics’ Athletes’ Village and a number of major projects within Heathrow Terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5, in 2011 she became an external health and safety consultant, providing specialist advice to a variety of social housing and construction clients.
A full member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and a Certified Member of the Association for Project Safety, Amanda also hols a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and a Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
Key responsibilities
- Providing specialist advice, leadership and direction to the company’s board and wider team
- Taking accountability for the development, delivery and maintenance of management systems (including policies and procedures), risk profile and gap analysis, planning and reporting
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with statutory bodies and other regulatory organisations
- Ensuring compliance with all current and relevant legislation, industry standards and accreditations, directing both external and internal audits as required
- Spearheading the company’s efforts in relation to corporate social value
