Planned and reactive support

We provide ultimate project assurance and protection through continual evolution and innovation via our research and development team, ensuring that we provide efficient solutions meet the needs to our railway clients.

We operate a 24 / 7, 365 day a year minor works reactive call out centre manned by our inhouse safety critical staff on a rostered basis with strategic supply chain support across England and Wales.

Civils

• Reactive: We operate a 24 / 7, 365 day a year on call support to deal with issues such as track flooding, cutting slips, embankment failures, level crossing panel dislocation, emergency vegetation removal, provision of emergency haulage and welfare facilities, provision of emergency surveying and asset monitoring, bridge deck parapet wall stabilisation, temporary works installation and provision of project management support to deliver all of the above activities using inhouse rostered competent personnel.
• Metallic structures: Provision of OTP under our POS licence to transport metallic structural elements to repair or create new assets such as signalling gantries and columns plus OLE equivalent installation. We also provide a full turnkey service, to assign, design and build a variety of signalling metallic assets.
• Masonry: We provide a full turnkey service for the survey, design and repair of masonry culverts utilising inhouse specialist resources e.g. UV lining to culvert barrels and masonry repairs to headwalls and wingwalls. Ditto for tunnel wall linings and tunnel drainage assets. We also provide a full D&B service for platform extensions and to platform front wall repairs.
• Track drainage: We provide a full turnkey service for the survey, design, assure and repair of On Track Drainage systems, installation of under track crossings, catch pit reinstatement, flumes, cascades, syphon cleaning and outfall repairs. We execute the above utilising our inhouse plant such as high pressure jetting, CCTV survey equipment, topographical and specialist ground investigation, all managed and delivered by our inhouse competent drainage delivery specialists.
• Level crossings: We provide a full turnkey service for the survey, design, assurance of new / replacement Level Crossings (LXs) and Road Rail Access Points (RRAPs) service to Network Rail / Irish Rail / Translink and it’s Tier 1 Contractors. Level crossing surface repair, signage manufacture and installation. Our LXs design and build team are able to advise on the best products to meet our clients’ needs, arranging site visits where necessary (via our internal possession planning team). We cater for most track types, working with leading manufacturers Strail and Rosehill Rail. Our services cover supply, delivery, installation and removal. We also offer RRAP hire which can be used on a short or long term basis.

• Earthworks: Our Geotechnical Division operates as a specialist geotechnical survey, design and build contractor offering design and build solutions using our specialist design teams and project delivery staff, utilising our inhouse fleet of on track plant, such as:

• Off track: Fencing repairs and new fencing installation, earthworks drainage ditch clearance, safe cess walkways, access points and RRAPs which can be delivered as a design, assure and build solution.
• Ancillary civils: Signal post base installation, structure enabling works, cable route works / troughing, LOC base installation, vegetation clearance, gantry and REB base installation.

Buildings

• Reactive: We operate a 24 / 7, 365 day a year on call support to deal with issues such as station flooding, emergency coper and tactile repairs, platform fencing repairs, replacement end gates and witches hats.
• Platforms: Using highly skilled and trained civil engineering teams we are trusted to install compliant solutions to recognized industry regulations such as RIS7016 by high profile clients such as Network Rail, TOCs, and the Network Rail tier 1 contractors. We provide a full range of station platform enhancements, refurbishments, and various activities, such as:

• Roofing: Provision of on track plant e.g. hybrid battery powered MEWPs to access logistically challenging areas and competent resources under our POS licence.
